Managing Director

Desmond Tan is in the business of Estate Management since 1993. As a junior executive, he started off with a local estate management firm, Yumin Properties Pte Ltd as an executive before joining Jones Lang Wootton.

He was headhunted to join Colliers Jardine (S) Pte Ltd in 1995 and was promoted to post of Property Manager by 1999. Subsequently, he joined his managing director to set up Knight Frank Estate Management Pte Ltd in 2000. He was promoted to the post of Associate Director in 2005.

He was instrumental in the growth of Knight Frank Estate Management Pte Ltd. He led a small team of 8 projects in 2005 to a project size of over 50 projects within 3 years. He was also instrumental in the setup of the start-up team for Knight Frank Estate Management Pte Ltd and spearheaded the bulk purchasing of electricity when the market was liberalized by Energy Market Authority.

He was subsequently approached to start the property management department for SunProp Property and Asset Management Consultants in late 2009. Sunprop has since grown from strength to strength under his leadership and now manages more than 70 projects and staff strength of more than 80.

With the establishment of Smart Property, Desmond was appointed as its Joint Managing Director and a member of the Board of Directors.

Eddy Laurence Ho

Eddy Laurence Ho had more than 20 years of experience in the property/facility management and construction industry. He had been with property firms like Henry Butcher Appraisal Group, Colliers International Asset Management, which was later renamed as Property Facility Services Pte Ltd and set up Abacus Property Management and Realtylink Consultancy Pte Ltd before he join Smart Property Management (S) Pte Ltd heading the regional operations.

Eddy had held several senior executive positions in the private and public sectors and has more than 20 years of experience in the building construction and property facility management industry overseeing all projects under his care to ensure completion and smooth delivery and handover to clients within the contractual timeline.

Before he entered the private sector, Eddy was a member of the Singapore Police Force and he had served in various senior appointments in charge of security movements of both local VVIPs and Foreign Head of State. He had held an appointment as Officer in Charge at the Police Home Team Academy responsible for all Firearms related and Driving / Riding training to the Volunteer Special Constabulary. He currently holds the rank of Superintendent of Police with the appointment of Deputy Head of a Specialist Unit.

Eddy is a qualified Fire Safety Manager and he had managed large-scale residential, commercial, and industrial complexes in Singapore.  Eddy still has the passion to serve with excellence in this industry; he personally oversees the property management operations, administration, and management of team managers and PM & FM executives in the company. His constant interaction with management councils and residents attending to their needs giving advice puts him in good stead among the clients he has been serving.

Brian Lim
Director

Brian Lim started his career as a Technical Officer at the Construction Industry Training Institute (CITI) in 2000 specialising in building maintenance and support service. His 17 years in the industry encompasses and exudes his capabilities in Tenancy Management, Facilities Management and Property Management across all arena including residential, commercial and mixed developments. He has over the years gained vast and valuable experience from his employment with major organisations, namely Knight Frank Estate Management Pte Ltd, Far East Organization and CBM Pte Ltd before landing himself in a management role with SunProp Property and Asset Management Consultants Pte Ltd as an Associate Director in 2014.

Having been highly recommended and deployed to Qatar in 2012 as a Senior Manager to manage and maintain the iconic building Lagoon Plaza (also known as Zig Zag Towers) and Sabban Towers, Brian has gained for himself a reputation as a personnel with strong cross-cultural adaptability. He was transferred back to Singapore in 2014 to oversee the facilities, project & contract Management account for Singapore Prison Service.

A highly motivated professional in this industry with his accumulated experience and in-depth understanding of the Property Management arena not only in the operations of properties but also the managing of manpower and client’s expectations.

John Anil
Director

John Anil is a leading International Facilities/ Property Management, Strategic Management Professional with over 19 years’ of cross-industry experience in running business operations, managing business portfolios, recruiting, training and supervising staff for companies across Real Estate, Finance, and IT Sectors.

Prior to Smart Property Management, he was the Associate Director at SteadLink Asset Management, John has held senior positions with some of the major International organizations’, namely Knight Frank, CSPS, Corporate Strategies International-CSI, Business Intelligence Group and ICICI Bank. He brings in the wealth of corporate governance experience from cross-industries and has personally overseen, managed strategic planning department as Head of Strategic Planning.

His current responsibilities include carry out operations of day-to-day operations of the company, supervising training and managing and evaluating full-time facilities operations and staff. He is also responsible for the strategic development, planning, overseeing and implementing company policies, procedures, and interpreting operating policies for staff and company.
